Since 1984, Scarecrow has been providing the most sophisticated bird dispersal systems throughout the world. Our nature-inspired systems supply the most advanced and reliable solutions for bird control problems of all types, in any sector. Scarecrow's bird management products use bio-acoustic technology, which is the evolutionary communication method used by birds to warn of immediate danger, to disperse birds harmlessly and humanely.
Scarecrow B.I.R.D. Tab stands for Bird Integrated Reporting & Dispersal.
It is a dynamic and comprehensive solution to airports bird dispersal and due diligence needs. This mobile, vehicle-mounted system is designed around international best practices, and is highly customisable for the needs of each individual client.
It is a complete system. A high quality rugged tablet PC is at the heart of the system; together with a pre-loaded processor with up to 20 bird distress calls as selected by the client. Two vehicle roof mounted loudspeakers, mounting kit and a fist microphone for live announcements are all included. Detailed records of dispersal activity can be created easily on-site, and captured data can be transferred wirelessly and in a real time to the desktop reporting software for analysis.
It is a vehicle-mounted system, consisting of a rugged tablet and a set of speakers installed on the roof. The pre-installed software on the tablet allows the user to select and play distress calls for immediate dispersal of birds encountered.
The software also contains powerful data logging and reporting functions, designed around the ICAO recommened best practices. Easily meet your obligations with detailed and auditable records, which can be accessed and analysed through the desktop reporting software.
Scarecrow Group is a leading innovator in bio-acoustic bird control technology. Many clients around the world rely on our products to manage bird activity, not just airports but many other industries too; anywhere that the presence of birds can present a hazard or a nuisance.
Scarecrow bio-acoustic bird dispersal systems are completely humane, exploiting natural bird behaviour for their success. Scarecrow uses species-specific distress calls to tell birds that an area is dangerous and they need to leave, while causing little or no noise disturbance to humans.

Scarecrow Premier 2020 is a Vehicle-Mounted Bird Dispersal for Aerodromes.
It offers effective airside bird dispersal using a vehicle-mounted bio-acoustic system. Scarecrow systems have been a mainstay of airport operations vehicles for 40 years. Premier 2020 replaced the older Premier 1500, which in turn succeeded our popular Digiscare system which dates all the way back to the founding of Scarecrow Group.
It runs on 12v or 24v from the vehicle. A control unit within the cabin allows the operator to select the appropriate call without exiting the vehicle. The call is then played through roof-mounted speakers for targeted dispersal of birds at a range of up to 300m.
It is also designed to be easily upgraded to our B.I.R.D. Tab which offers both dispersal and a complete reporting solution.
It is a vehicle-mounted bio-acoustic system, designed specifically for aerodromes and programmable to each client's needs. A simple control unit within the vehicle allows you to select one of the 14 standard calls, a siren, or a pre-stored announcement through twin speakers mounted on the roof.
The unit can also be connected to a handheld remote control which provides all the same features as the front panel, allowing the main unit to be installed under a seat or elsewhere in the vehicle.

Introducing the AKC Aerotech Soda-Based Cleaning Machine, a cutting-edge solution for efficiently and safely cleaning airport ground lights and airport equipment. Airport ground lights are essential for ensuring the safety of aircraft during take-off, landing by keeping them free from debris and grime which is very crucial.
The AKC Aerotech cleaning machine uses a unique soda-blasting technology that is both effective and environment friendly, designed to clean glass and hard surfaces for giving clear illumination of light by removing stubborn Grime, Rubber deposit, Calcium deposit, Glycol, Salt and Paint spray without damaging the delicate surface and prism of the lights.
There is other method to clean lights by using dry-ice which is also efficient and environment friendly, but it has many challenges for the maintenance team to store dry-ice at the temperature required making it difficult and expensive.
Friendly Cleaning Solution: Soda used with air pressure for blasting is not only very effective but also saves precious time of runways. The sodium bicarbonate used is ensuring that the cleaning process is fast both for airports and workers.
Reduced Maintenance Costs: The gentle yet effective cleaning technique prevents damage to the ground lights, reducing the need for costly repairs or replacements. By extending the lifespan of the lights, the AKC Aerotech machine offers significant long-term savings and reduces man power.
Minimal Downtime: The quick and efficient cleaning system ensures minimal downtime for airport ground lights, helping to maintain their full functionality and visibility without causing disruptions to airport operations.
Soda-Based Cleaning Technology: The AKC Aerotech machine (SB-35-001) utilizes an eco-friendly soda (sodium bicarbonate) cleaning system, which gently removes contaminants like stubborn grime, oil, paint, rubber and other residues from airport ground lights. Soda blasting is non-abrasive, so it preserves the integrity of the light covers and surrounding surfaces, ensuring long-term performance.
Precision Control: The AKC Aerotech cleaning machine comes with an adjustable nozzle for fine-tuned pressure and airflow, giving operators precise control over the cleaning process. This flexibility helps ensure that dirt and residues are thoroughly removed without damaging the lights prism or casing.
Enhanced Efficiency: The soda-blasting system works quickly and efficiently, saving valuable time while ensuring that the cleaning process does not take precious time of airport operations.
Durability and Reliability: Built from robust, weather-resistant materials, the AKC Aerotech cleaning machine is designed to withstand the harsh outdoor conditions typically found at airports. It is capable of operating in challenging environments, making it an ideal choice for regular use on runways, taxiways, and aprons.
User-Friendly Interface: The AKC Aerotech cleaning machine features an intuitive control panel that is easy for operators to use. With clear settings for pressure, cleaning duration, and nozzle adjustment, even operators with limited proper technical knowledge can quickly get the machine up and running.
The stubborn Grime, Paint spray from daily marking, Rubber deposits from aircraft and vehicles, Glycol and Salt on the prism & surface of runway lights making them ineffective to give right illumination from light to pilot affecting the aircraft's take-off and landing.
To avoid this dangerous situation its essential to regularly clean lights on the runway.
It analyses the cleaning efficiency, cleaning effects, environmental performance and operational safety performance of several cleaning methods, including manual cleaning, high pressure water jet and steam jet cleaning. Manual cleaning is inefficient and takes long hours cleaning lights. The cleaning effect of high-pressure water jet and steam jet cleaning on tyre rubber layer is not ideal for lights, while Soda blasting can wash out different kinds of dirt paint and rubber deposits of aircraft and vehicles effectively from lights.
